The Vedek Assembly is the governing body of the Bajoran faith. In 2378 the Assembly was all but wiped out by Dominion forces, being branded heretics. A small group, Led by the Kai, Wynn Adami, are living in exile on Boreth under the protection of the Klingon monks residing there. There have been multiple attempts by the Dominion occupation force to flush them out, including several assassination attempts. In the meanwhile the Vedek Assembly is distributing regular messages of dissent to its loyal followers back on Bajor, fueling the fires of rebellion among the population, many of which have joined the reestablished Bajoran resistance, who now have close ties with the Cardassian resistance.
