| Personal History | Emily was born in space, more specifically on the Captains Yacht of the USS Lexington, informally named as Lexie by those aboard. During the ships final moments her parents, James and Isobel, formerly the XO and ships pilot escaped destruction and fled with a number of crew. Years later some crew dwindled, battles cost lives and the ship run down she was born. 7 years came and went. The crew of the yacht tried to settle down, find a home but were found on numerous occasions and had to fleet. That is how people were lost and why they decided to keep moving from place to place so that they were hard to pin down. Sadly 2 months after her seventh birthday the ship was attacked and Emily was the only survivor. Her parents had hidden her away in a safe place and when she came out they were all dead. Her parents, and 3 other people of those that remained. Emily had picked up skills from her parents. Her father was an ex-engineer and believed the way things were going to teach her how to maintain equipment and such. Her mother a pilot and navigator taught her how to survive and manoeuvre the ship. These skills were essential as she was alone now. Over the next 10 years she fended for herself, kept the Lexie alive and as well as she could given scare resources and materials and tried to keep herself safe. Food was always scarce, the Dominion was around nearly every corner as well as other species such as Klingons and Ferengi but she stayed clear of most of them. Truthfully she only really dealt with what Human pockets she found and the Romulans when ever she felt trusting enough to talk to strangers. She began to do jobs for people, runs of merchandise, moving things and avoiding detection. It worked for a while. More recently Lexie has seen better days and she got into a fight with a Jem'Hadar fighter. Given the near 20+ years the yacht had it was no match for the fighter and she lost. She was left to drift in space, injured and trying to find someone to help her. Romulans picked her up. Emily is devastated by the loss of Lexie, and what was essentially her parents legacy. |
